The Barn is a California surf barn hidden in beautiful Fenton, Michigan. Our Certified Bartenders will create you an amazing cocktail while you enjoy our gourmet food. We at The Barn are focused on amazing customer service, local Michigan craft beers, unique cocktails and fresh gourmet meals.
In California during the 1950’s, Surfboards were hand carved in local barns. The designers, known as “shapers,” would carve blocks of polyurethane foam into the perfect shape then coat it with fiberglass for strength. Legends like Greg Noll and Rusty Preisendorfer spent their days in these “Surf Barns” or “Shape Shacks” designing the future of the sport of surfing.

Two patios, each $150 per hour: the indoor Dining Patio (20–80 people, dart boards and TVs) and the fully covered, heated Event Patio (20–90+ people, outdoor bar, cornhole in summer and curling lanes in winter).
Room rental is free in March/April and August/September/October for parties of 40 or more guests with the purchase of a food package. Discounted daily rentals are available in other months. A room-rental deposit is required for all reservations.
For groups of 20 or more, all-you-can-eat packages include 90 minutes of continuous food and are priced per person: Appetizer $14, Pizza $14, Taco $15–$16, Appetizer & Pizza $20, Appetizer & Taco $20. Kids under 12 eat at a discounted rate. Platters and add-on trays are also available.
Yes. The soda package is $3 per person (unlimited soda, tea, lemonade and coffee). A private bartender is $150 and includes the outside bar; parties over 75 people require two bartenders at $200. A mimosa bar is $20 per bottle of champagne.
Final headcount and food selections are due 2 weeks before the event, and food orders cannot change within one week of the event. No outside food except birthday cake. Prices exclude 20% gratuity and 6% sales tax. Party inquiries are answered within 24–48 hours.
Yes. Curling lanes on the covered, heated patio rent in 1-hour blocks for $30 per hour, max 4 people per lane; no experience needed and reservations are non-refundable. The Barn Hockey ice rink can be rented for practices or parties at barnhockeyfenton.com/rink-rental.
